A new MP350 package gives regular Focus RS owners access to the RS500 engine mods.
Horsepower increases from 296 on the stock RS to 345.
Cars with the MP350 package retain Ford's factory warranty coverage.

COLOGNE, Germany — Following the announcement of its hot new Focus RS500, Ford announced today that it will offer an MP350 upgrade package for the standard Focus RS that increases that car's output to 345 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque — the same as on the RS500.

Developed with Mountune Performance, the MP350 kit can be ordered as a factory-approved package on a new Focus RS or as an aftermarket upgrade through Ford dealers, initially in the U.K. and later across Europe. Cars fitted with the kit retain their factory warranty coverage.

The MP350 package for the Focus RS includes a recalibrated ECU, a larger intercooler, a larger air box, a larger-diameter exhaust downpipe and an uprated fuel pump.

Of course, this upgrade kit will only be offered in Europe, with sales starting first in the U.K. Pricing has not been announced.

Inside Line says: What excellent news for cost-conscious European hot-hatch owners. Now, hurry up and build a Ford Focus RS for us. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

Seems alot of power for FWD still... What do you think OT, this or a 5.0L Stang?

because, a 300hp Focus RS will likely be 30k American, and for that money you are all going to buy this

which is faster and nicer in every way

i have a loaner 09 focus sel right now, and it's actually better than i expected... handles pretty well, nice features...

would love a real euro ford over here with some decent engines, don't see why ford can't be a "reliable" vw competetor

    Wat?

No way a focus RS equipped like that would be 30k in the US. IMO, a fully loaded RS would fit nicely in the the 23-26k bracket... cheaper than STI's and EVO's but more expensive then SI's and the like. Don't tell me ford couldn't make margins on the RS in america @ 26k.

its manufacturered in europe, id be surprised if ford could even sell it at a profit for 30k.

What makes you think it would be cheaper? Or has any relation to the focus you guys have?

Ford said on a direct currency conversion they couldnt get it into Australia for under $60,000. Thats $55,000 USD.

id say they would struggle to get it there for 30

it wouldnt surprise me if it was closer to 40

especially since a loaded evo goes for that money these days

this is a evo competitor price wise

the focus RS is $38,000 USD base price in its homeland, thats before they ship it to america and invest the money for a LHD version.

Americans complain about the cars they get, but they refuse to pay any reasonable sum of cash for anything
