Is this possible? I DO NOT want iTunes to download missing artwork. I just want it to scan every MP3 in the library for artwork.

For some reason half my artwork isn't showing on my iPod. Even some tracks on the same album are missing artwork.

So the script just scans for tracks without artwork and puts them in a playlist?

That isn't exactly what I need.

Re-phrase what you want. It almost sounds like you have artwork on some songs, but not on others. Don't you want to see which songs don't have artwork on them?

I have artwork on almost everything in my library. For some reason, some artwork in iTunes is missing. Even some tracks on the same album show artwork in iTunes and others don't. It's an iTunes issue-- not missing artwork.

So I want iTunes to scan every MP3 to gather the artwork so it shows properly. It's like some were scanned and some weren't, so iTunes only shows artwork of the MP3s it's scanned.

Then why in one album do some show but others don't? All tagged by the same software.

And iTunes sucks in that most of the tags it just updates in it's own database rather then writing it to the MP3 file itself. That's why when you add a music video, it lists it as a movie. Then you change the type to music video but if you remove it and add it again, iTunes will show it as a movie again. I hate that shit. I have over 500 music videos I'm moving from one drive to another and I have to retag them all. The worst part is that you can't select all of them at once and choose the music video type. You have to do them all one by one. :wtc:

Hmmm...all my stuff is tagged with 2.3. Weird how it reads some fine and not others.

If I went through and updated all the tags to 2.4, would I have to remove and readd them to the iTunes library?

I don't think iTunes sucks, but I don't like that either. Artwork is updated in its own database. You would have to add it manually for the artwork to actually update to the song itself.

You can't select all music videos like music, and choose music video type??
