What do you guys have to say now? You made fun of us for years because we couldn't get the guns that you could, and wondered why we didnt move. Well, the frontlines (which most of you did nothing to help with) has left California, and has moved out to DC. So tell me, will you guys follow your own recomendations and move to somewhere with better gun laws if AWB 2.0 gets passed? I doubt it.

(This isnt a rant about WMD in particular, just gun owners outside of CA in general who thought that the problem of liberal fuckups banning guns was unique to CA. I guess the shoe is on the other foot for them now).

I think we're fairly safe in Florida also.

Kansas has reversed the gov's anti-gun fueled vetos in the past, so hopefully our state keeps growing pro-gun.

Don't count your eggs so fast there sport. Nothing has happened "yet". :x:

Oh, and to answer your question. Yes, I will probably move to Florida to be closer to my family. There is no one left for me in DC and i'm growing tired of this job. It will only take a small shove to get me to move back to FL.

It's nowhere NEAR as easy to move countries as it is to move states. If for some reason AZ turned into CA, yes I would try and move. There is no way I would give up my guns if there was another way around it.

Actually now I'm cautiously optimistic. I knew the republicans weren't going to do anything for gun owners other than letting the AWB die. I think the democrats will probably try something stupid like another ban and with any luck the gun owners of this nation, having learned from 1994, will actually rise up against it and perhaps win one for all gun owners. From there maybe we will get the motivation and precedent to really change things.

If there's a federal ban on "assault" weapons, it won't matter where you live. lol. I'm going to stay put and fight for my rights.

AZ is safe. We got Sheriff Joe and some other smart officials. Janet Napolitano is also doing good at not touching the gun issue.

Maybe, because of the argument that the Republicans were little by little stealing our civil liberties, the Democrats will try to avoid this stigma and move back to respecting them. I think any kind of breach of civil liberties at this point is going to be bad news for them.

Oh I know. I was just saying if for some reason AZ HAD gone the way of CA, I would definitely be looking to move.

In AZ, I'm more worried about federal action than anything else.

Nevada basically reinstated all the incumbant Republicans so while the federal level threat of a gun ban looms, at least the state level is safe for a few more years.

Nobody thought the liberal fuckups were unique to California, they're just concentrated there.

In the event of some type of federal ban, what's the method for states to not abide by legislation they don't agree with? Is this even possible, or am I thinking of something different, maybe it was 2/3 of the states or something? It's been a while since American Government. :o

If it's gone that far, you've already failed. Like Soy said, the first step is to let your new and veteran representatives know exactly how you feel.
