For those that workout first thing in the morning

    Do you drink coffee or take caffeine?

    I have had no caffeine in my diet for the past 3-4 years...
    but I'm thinking of starting to drink coffee in the morning to help get me going.
    Crawling out of bed at 6:30am and trying to squat 5 mins later doesn't seem to be working so well. Low energy :hs:

    definitely take some caffeine beforehand.

    start with 200mg and see how you feel. i typically take 400mg before early morning workouts.

    if i go to workout in the morning I go and buy a 90 pack of 200mg caffiene pills and down the whole bottle and then take a 48 pack of ephedrine, pumps me up like a mother fucker

    Against conventional wisdom I've never eaten before I train. I do take caffeine before every workout (about 50-100gmg) and sip a protein shake throughout my workout,

    you sip your protein shake?!

    if i do anything short of chugging the 12oz, i barf. and thats without breathing so i don't taste the protein nastiness.

    it tastes better than the nitro tech i used to use 2 years ago, but still...the protein taste kills me.

    i just hold my breath and chugggg.

    I usually eat a banana and drink a protein shake (with water) during the early monring workout.

    Do you guys buy your caffeine pills online, or just buy them at the grocery/health-food store?

    I buy mine at Wal-Mart, the brand name is Jet Alert and I get 90 200mg pills for 2.87 or so

    to those who pop a 200mg caffeine pill, how long before a workout do you take it, how long does it last and how noticeable is the difference?
