Do you change the waiting time between sets depending on which day it is? I've only been doing it for a week but on light days I don't see the point in waiting more than a minute or less between sets. If it's too easy otherwise then does that mean I'm going too light?

The best guideline is rest as necessary, if you don't need 4 minutes then don't

The light day should be that, the last set of 5 shoud need much more rest

For me, my longest day is Day #1 (Sundays for me). It takes me almost 90 minutes just because i'm pushing so hard, and need more time to rest.

The other 2 days are quick. I can be done in 50-60 minutes. Hardly any resting needed for some reason. I guess squats/deadlifts own me :o Though I fucking HATE lunges!!!

Man I hear ya, lunges piss me off. They are just awkward, boring, and feel unrewarding :(

How many lifts/exercises do you guys do on this routine?

I really only do DL, bench, squat, and wide grip pull ups. I also do some midsection stuff but I don't really do it 5x5, usually only three or four sets.

Uh, i do what the routine says to do, with a few exercises for kyphosis thrown in at the end.

I rest as needed. Sometimes it's 5 minutes, sometimes it's 1. Depends on the exercise.

ya day 1 (monday) is just hell for me.

    squats -> deads -> bench

I'm wondering now, because my deads haven't really improved since I've been on the program. I have changed my form from a wide stance (sumo) to a narrow one. But, I'm guessing I'm not doing so well during my deadlift is because I work legs and some back on squats prior to deads.

I do it in the opposite order. Bench, deads, squats.

Squats take too much energy out of me to do them first.

Deads before squatting is not a smart move.
The program is Squat focused, if you to focus on deads do it differently

The program is meant to be done as written, or else he wouldn't have written it that way. :slap:

First of all, Christophers wrote it, Bill Starr just stole it.

Secondly, I'm modifying it to my own personal preferences. Thx bye.

wait, just forget doing legs all together. All squats do is waste precious curling energy.

Oh and make sure you never take any of the weight off the barbells when you are done.

my biceps could be completely out of proportion to everything else and I still wouldn't do curls.

Well that would just be dumb. Neglecting the tendons in your elbow and creating an imbalance between your tris and biceps is not a good idea.
