GUN For those of you who own Machine Guns

Discussion in 'On Topic' started by GiantRutgersFan, Feb 7, 2008.

  1. Do you ever actually use it? If so for what purpose?

Do you take it to the range? Also doesnt it cost a ton of money for ammo?

Also post pics of what you got if you have one.

I have an M60, waitng on the transfer of an MP40. Will ahve an MG42, M16, and maybe an MP5 by years end.

I own them because they're fun to shoot. I take them to the range and shoot just like every other schmuck who goes to the range.

Ammo does get expensive, but it's no cheaper than shooting a semi or bolt gun. You just go through it a lot faster in one sitting. I probably shoot through my MGs and friends what an average person with a pistol or semi auto rifle shoots in a year.

They dont go to the range often, maybe 3 times a year.

That's probably what I would end up doing just because of a lack of places to shoot them around here and the cost of ammo. Makes it hard to justify the price of a MG. :sad2:

How much ammo are you gonna shoot? A typical day for me would pobably be $300-$500 at the very max. I have friends who easily spend into the thousands.

Are there any transferable American 180's out there? You could shoot for days for $300.

I didn't think there were any transferable. How much do they normally run? probably not much for accuracy, but a helluva fun time for pretty cheap. 500 rnds for only $10 is a helluva deal.
