What do you use to design it? And for a blog? I'm currently using iWeb, but hate how it doesn't work consistently on all browsers and even when it does work, it doesn't load quickly...I hear it's something in the scripting. I'm using blogger for my blog, but want something I can fully integrate to my site.

I want something easy to update...not necessarily from my computer...maybe from an iPhone or iPod touch and with snazzy galleries - I've been using simpleviewer.

    Any help?

I use wordpress. Its pretty easy to install and is just like blogger. I just link to my galleries I uploaded from LR

I use iWeb too and it frustrates me that I'm confined to tweaking the templates and can't just start w/a blank slate. It's not bad for what I need (www.skolenimation.com)

I'm tempted to try out http://www.squarespace.com/ But it's because I keep hearing about it from the Revision3 podcasts I watch. From what it looks like I think it might kick ass.

I've created custom iWeb templates (www.austincabot.com), you just have to work them. I'd do squarespaces, but I have hosting already.

Pick a Template that looks like a good starting place and pick the blank on. From there, hide the navigation menu on each page. My menu buttons are just text that are hyperlinked to the page in. You can copy paste the whole menu bar to the other pages. If you need any help, PM me.

i did web developing for a job full time for a while, still do it for work just not on a full time basis now. i prefer to just draw something up in photoshop (usually based on components from sites/templates i like) then code it to work the way i want. :o then again, my personal site is just a homepage and i haven't taken the time to make any additional pages. :mamoru: by the time i get done at work and then the freelance shit i do, i just don't feel like working on my site.

I uploaded galleries using Aperture and designed everything else myself.

if you host with www.dreamhost.com, they give you "freebies" you can add to your site like galleries, forums, blog software and a shopping cart for eCommerce stuff. I don't mind any of them...

Back when I actually did something with my website, I used wordpress for a blog and a style on their style webpage edited to my liking...

The rest of the site was a simple three column CSS site that I coded by hand.

Well, let me check out a podcast to see if I can get you a discount code or to at least enter a referral from Digg or Totally Rad show so they get the credit for the sponsorship working.

I dont have a photography blog yet, I am not really considering one, most of my site so far just highlights what I do and I only have very amateurish shots on it at the moment while I get it all set up and so on

Weddings and stuff like that will be passworded except 2-3 samples from each.

    Using Menalto Gallery2

For those who may be considering SquareSpace, do it before the 15th!
