    with a straight bar... flat.

what can you put up on flat db press?

    90? 100lbs? more?:noes:

I can barely put up 175 on the bench :o, but I can get 80's up no problem with dumbbells.. which is pretty OK IMO. Just seems weird to me is all

I'm not sure as I haven't tried in a long ass time.

I bet it would take a few weeks of doing them regularly to get used to them before I would see what I maxed out with :dunno:

175? everyone and their sister can do 175, it's a damn shame to be lifting so light

now 75's? I can do them without too much problem, but the same people around me doing 2 plates can't... ro won't do 60's on the db

maybe its cause they don't train it? probibly.

and all this time I thought I was strong and the only reason I did so little on the bench was because I was inflexible or something :hsd:

I haven't trained BB bench in a while but I think I could probably hit 225. I'm doing 4 sets of 8 with 85's with teh DB. I hit 200 for 6 on BB after a chest day like 2 months ago so I'm hoping I can. I do kinda miss BB but I don't miss rounding up a spotter... :hs:

    nice

yea that's why I like db so much, no real need for a spotter. The hardest part is balancing it for the first push, if you can get it up the first time, all subsequent reps are fairly easy

I rep 225 on flat, and do about 10 reps of 100lbs on dumbells

I've done as well as 235x2 on a flat barbell bench. I can barely do the 85s on a flat bench dumbell press. I can move damn near the same weight on my incline benchpresses. My form is fucked up or something, because I know that isn't right.

For like 7-8 reps I can only BB bench 155 but can do the same rep-wise with 70s.

    see, now this is strength

I see people all the time that do 225 and can't do 60's or 70's even once on db press

    no.

they wrap thick bands around the bar and the floor.. when you push up, it creates tension on the bar (making it harder to push up).

the amount of tension is dependent on the band (different colors provide different tension)... some bands will give up to an extra 150 lbs of resistance at the top of a lift.

though i cant tell if you're being sarcastic or not :hs:
