    I wish.

If I would be able to send that, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I know when I was deployed over there candy and snacks were always welcome. I'm not sure how the porn thing works in theater, but if it is still allowed its always welcome :big grin:

very true. Lots of guys have PSPs because they are small and easily carried in a cargo pocket. But the PX rarely has anything for the PSP.

Well I could do that. Most of the guys I know are home right now though. Was looking to help out a fellow OT'r that is currently deployed.

im deployed but leaving to go home in about a month but you could always check with your local national guard office or USO to see if there is a way to reach a deployed soldier.

what I liked the most was two things:

home made jerky, as real meat is hard to get in the field.
spices and marinades from home, or something similar to spice up MREs

... I have a box of beef jerky sitting in the fridge downstairs. I'm still waiting to see if I can get some deer jerky or something.

I'll keep the spices in mind. What do you wish you had? Garlic powder? Onion powder? Cayenne pepper? Kosher salt?

the homemade jerky was by far the most popular.

The home made spices were popular too. I grew up eating certain types of meat, I could listen them but it is different for every town. My point was that those were awesome.

"Healthy" snacks. I have so much candy/junk food piled up in my room right now it sucks. That, combined with 24-hour chow = me getting fat over here :(

life is good. Im getting a 6 month break and coming back here. (this is purely voluntary on my part.) I dont know what it is but I feel more comfortable here than back home, sometimes.
