Yeah, JDM was doing nasty things with lightnings before the 03 cobra was even thought of. I'm not surprised they're taking over like they are.

the shaved windows look HORRIBLE though - YUCK

The 03 Cobra is the American version of the Supra...all mph with a lacking et - at least the solid axle swap is cheap and easy ;)

I think it could probably pull high 10's with ET Streets :dunno:, Jim himself and Nitrous pete both managed those times with similar horse power.

I miss the mustang scene in NJ :hs:

Meh, that's the closest example I've got. The day of said shootout the icebox was frozen solid. What were you thinking for the 700hp range?

well to some a cold air kit, cat back, header, and lowering springs is modded, to me a car with stock rotating assembly, block, heads, etc. is lightly modded...

More efficient blower, exhaust, small bolt ons, cams, and exhaust to NEARLY DOUBLE the stock cars output is amazing for so few mods...if you don't think so /yourself...

Meh, that bolt on isn't really complicated at all. It's almost like just replacing the intake manifold on a N/A mustang

03 Cobras are heavy pigs and MOST don't launch well. I have seen a few pull the wheels on the IRS, but that isn't the norm. Like I said, the Domestic Supra, all MPH with crappy et...Also like I said, switch to a solid axle and hello 1.3's :big grin:

If I had 700 rear wheel I would be going 9.60's or so...

Everywhere I found it all linked back to the same place. I have the vid if anyone wants to host. (10 MB :hs: ) It actually really surprised me, since the F4i gives up so much power to the cobra. I know the cobra would have eaten it up when they got going quicker too...

I like how the Mustang shop is called "JDM". I'd be happy with 200 -300 hp. 700+ yeah, I need a new car, too bad it wont be a crapstang.

What I think is the most impressive is the TQ curve. My 4.6 has NO low end TQ at all.... but there are people that are getting 650ft-lbs from 2400rpms all the way to 5500rpms.... that's a serious curve that only a high compression big CI motor can compete with. 03 Cobras are the kinds ofthe street.
