I bought 6 sheets from him, gonna shoot at it with some friends when I get my ar build done.
Ok,.. so you bought bullet proof acrylic to shoot at it?
ib it wont stop a bullet
15 bucks per a sheet thats a little bigger than a legal size piece of paper.
Yeah I bought bullet proof acrylic to shoot at it. Don't tell me you never wanted to do that? You never walked into a bank or a gas station with this stuff and though, shit it would be fun to see if this stuff works and what it would do if shot with a 9mm, 38, 357, 223, etc?
am i the only one wondering WTF a guy was doing with bp acrylic at a friggen yardsale?
I think its a good idea.
bullet proof acrylic and glass vids
said the gas station he worked at or something was removing them and were just throwing them away, why not make some money, someone wanted a large sheet for a subwoofer box.
I can make a video and upload it when I go to the range with it.
sweet ron, and this stuff is thicker that i'm getting. This is going to be fun, gonna have to have my buddy bring over his ak.
Make sure to do something like "How many rounds of 9mm will it take to penetrate?" and stuff... Multiple shots in the same location, etc.... Looks like fun, I love shooting stuff!
will do, I'll have to charge up the camera.
And, of course, .45ACP
Dont forget the CZ52!
If he has any left I may get some
That shits not bulletproof.. and sure as fuck not worth $2 a sheet
Im wondering what 30-06 will do to it
Would look cool as fuck for a wall hanger with different handgun rounds stuck in it
sorry bullet resistant, marketing these days.
30-06 will go through it, may stop some lesser handgun rounds but rifle rounds are going to go through.
There was a guy here on OT selling it a couple weeks ago haha. I think it was in the yard sale forum.
He said he was remodeling some gas/service stations and had a whole bunch for free.
EDIT: wow I feel dumb... never mind I thought you said, you bought it at A yard sale (as in a local one) haha, not THE yard sale forum.
Why don't you invest some of this money you're throwing around
Take video and post, pics too
The BOT guy couldn't get .223 or 7.62x39 to go through, and judging by the pics his glass seemed to be a bit thinner
Yes but youre forgetting that 30-06 is one of the best rounds ever imo
I might buy a couple sheets, test em out and if it turns out to be neat maybe get some more
I really hope I can get some rounds stuck in it
