checking to see if there's any interest for someone in buying:

a used d70 kit with 18-70mm kit lens, two spare rechargable batteries, i would probably throw in a 512mb sandisk ultra II compact flash card, a camera bag and a "trial" copy of nikon capture

a used nikon 35mm f/2.0 AF lens ... seldomly used, no oil leaks or anything like the newer AF-D model ... this lens is $185 shipped

both items are about a year old

:naughty: how do you like it in comparison to the D70. One think thats starting to bug me is i am not able to fire off as many rapid shots as i would like.

I experimented at a volleyball game of a gal im seeing, and i was missing all the key shots. :sad2:

    :hs:
    practice practice practice.

I had trouble getting focus to lock too, i set it for AF-C and [_] Closest Subject.

I need a 70-200. Shooting at night sand volleyball with my 50mm 1.8 is just comedic.:hs:

    No closest subject.

Just set it for the center point, AF-C and change the autofocus turn on to be on the AE-L/AF-L button. You press and hold this button to turn on autofocus, track your subjects, and hit the shutter when you want to take a picture.

70-200mm f/2.8 ??... try the 85mm f/1.8 if you are shooting availble light.

Vibration reduction does nothing to help you when you are shooting action.
