WEB for my designers out there, some nice web 2.0 resources

  1. http://www.stripegenerator.com/ - i love this thing to death. i could never get those tiled stripes down in photoshop. this online engine, i think based on ajax, will make one for you that tiles perfectly and automatically makes it as small of a file as possible dimension-wise. you could choose stripe width, colors, gradients, stripe direction, etc.

http://www.tartanmaker.com/ - haven't really found a use for this, i guess good for some decent backgrounds. can make some decent burberry designs :o

http://www.tabsgenerator.com/ - also haven't gotten the chance to mess with this much since i haven't had a project that required tabs in a long while, but it makes some decent tabs.

http://www.reflectionmaker.com/ - also nice for you guys who are into reflections. would be good use for a flash actionscript carousel on a black bg, your items having all reflections or something.

http://beta.dailycolorscheme.com - was a good resource for a while until they stopped uploading color schemes.

http://labs.adobe.com/kuler/ - pretty self-explanatory. same as link above but a bit more complex and gives you the options of analogous, complementary colors, etc.

Good stuff. Silly, but good. :mamoru: The stripe generator is a good idea. The backgrounds are a pain to make manually.

  6. werd. when i first learned how to get the stripes to repeat perfectly, it took me hours before i could actually get it right :o

http://www.ajaxload.info - Makes some nice loading animated GIFs for you. Similar to what lightbox/lightwindow uses.
