For BB shoulder press, do you push from infront of, or behind your neck?

    ive never bb'd on shoulders before appart from the smith. I assume standing bb is a much better exercise.

    timber did this so I tried it.. and I failed and dropped it... got a huge bruise right above my neck bone, still hurts over 1 week later :wtc:

    You mean the drop snatch or getting into position for overhead squats?
    Otherwise only time I do behind neck is with hammer strength machine though I've tried bradford press with really light weight.

    i do seated smith for both.


    i used to lower it behind the neck for back squats as a part of a complex, but fuck that. my shoulder almost dislocated, and that would've been the least of my problems

    I do heavy in front and sometimes i'll do a few light sets behind.
