Ok, so for the first time...ever...2 years! I finally squated! Thats right, i was in the squat rack for the first time in 2 years!

    Christophers was my motivation....

I gradually worked my way up to a 3-rep max of 275!

i dont know how good this # is.... but i just wanted to say, first time working with a barbell, wasnt too bad!

Well when i was a noob working out in my basement, i had a standard bar with 25 lb plates, and i had a crap bench, so i could bend at 90 degrees to pick up the weight when i squated and would look like im holding all this weight up with my neck....and one day it screwed me over, and i almost killed myself...and it scared the living shit out of me, so i stopped squating....

Then i started reading books, going to the gym...listenning to you guys... and reading bodybuilding.com.... and obviously knew i was hurting myself mounting the weight like i was.....

Cliffs: I basically mounted the weight right off a bench... :hsugh: had a near death experience..and scared to squat.

    :bigthumb: Thanks broly...
I was pretty amazed myself... i tried squating a week ago, in the smith machine...and i sucked...i swear it was just how your suppose to twist the bar and then hook it back on...my grip was horrible...

Squat rack > squats in smith machine

Does anyone know how your bench press and squat are related...are they related?
All i can tell you is i am doing 95lb db bench press for 6 reps with 3 sets

They're not. Except if you want big numbers in both you need a big back.

I feel the same. The only thing i use my legs for is to run. I have had no ambition to get bigger in my lower body. My legs are naturally big and defined.

Am I wrong for being this way?
