Foot angle on squatting

    Any of the gurus on here have any good squatting vids where I can see foot placement? Anytime I do shoulder width squats or narrow squats my feet toe outward. I've tried stretching and using a foam roller on my piri-formis and I'm not having any luck keeping them straight ahead.

    thats how mine are. I had a trainer come by and ask me if I was doing adductor squats. I was like wtf

    THere is this one trainer who tells this fat guy to stand on one foot and do shoulder presses. :hsugh:

    slightly outward... pretty much lined up with my quads... but when i walk normally, my feet toe a little outward, too

    I saw a trainer here made some chick get on her knees, stick one leg out, and do a windmill motion with a 5 lb. dumbbell while resting on the other arm...I'm curious what exercise that is :dunno:

    wide squats, im at 10 and 2 o'clock. when doing narrow, 11 and 1.

    teaching the squat:

    take an athletic stance (most high school / college athletes know what this is). Shoulder width. Pivot on the ball of your feet and swing your heals out. Then pivot on your heals and swing your toes out. You are now at the efficient squatting position.

    That was helpful, because I was trying to show this guy at school how to squat and he couldn't do it for some reason... Like he was a big guy with good sized legs, and with 100 pounds on the bar when he went down he said he felt like he was about to collapse...
