Food Poisoning Yesterday!!!!!

    So I was going through my normal day yesterday. Had breakfast 8 AM, lunch 11:30 AM, workout, had a protein shake 1:45 PM. Then about 3PM my stomach starts aching so I think I must be hungry I was like damn already I wasn't planning to eat till 4PM.

    So I go to the fridge and grab water. Drink it down start preparing my meal. By the time the meal was done my stomach felt horrible. I took one bite, and I knew my stomach was in trouble.

    I threw up a little. Then took some Pepto Bismol, Ginger Ale, and Water. And I threw up about 5 times over the next 4 hours. I threw up most of my lunch(turkey burger). I usually have tuna everyday faithfully for lunch, but felt like changing up my meal at 7 PM with my lunch.

    Most of what I threw up was the turkey burger. I feel like shit lol. I'm not working out today. Should I take the rest of the week off or if I feel more energized tomorrow start working out again???

    How about you just go by how you feel instead of asking a bunch of people on the internet who can't possibly know how sick you are?

    Last time I had food poisoning it was incredibly painful and I felt like I was going to die.

    Yea I've had it once and was wiped out for ~4 days. Another time I was ready to resume normal life the next day. Good luck either way - i hate that shit.

    Just make sure that you're hydrated when you go back.

    Hell yeah thats how I was yeterday. I still feel exhausted today, I guess I'm gonna wait it out.

    the stuff you eat while you have food poisoning could prolong it... i had a bad case a couple months ago, lasted about a week and a half... couldn't leave the presence of a toilet for longer than like 45 minutes... doctor at the hospital told me to only eat lean meats, water, pedialyte (not gatorade), squash, and a few other veggies i can't remember... basically stay away from sugar and most carbs

    Thanks for the advice. Yeah all I had was water, veggies, and soup today.

    Anything wrong with diary products??

    I've done the Gatorade thing with food poisoning, might be cheaper than Pedialyte, but make sure you water it down because I found out the hard way that straight-up Gatorade is very hard on the system. Once I realized this, I tried to make a 1:1 ratio and it seemed to help. Still didn't eat for 4 days though.
