Ok I'm a nub in this forum and all that routine shit in the sticky pretty much had me going 'wait..what?' as I have no idea what's right for me.

I'm 6'0" and weigh 150lbs, and have the metabolism of a god - putting on weight is fucking hard for me.

My ultimate goal is 205lbs or so, but first I'm starting at wanting to hit 180lbs. Yes I know it'll take quite awhile, but that's my first goal I want to hit.

What would be a good daily calorie intake for me to overcome my ridiculous metabolism and to start putting on pounds when I work out? I'll be picking up a nice weight bench soon and will start lifting and doing all the fun upper body /stomach work outs but I know if I don't start eating right and gaining weight, I'll only get so far.

    Thanks in advance.

    edit: 11k post :coold:

Keep track of every thing you eat for one week and then go up from there.

I bet you're not eating as much as you think.

My metabolism is crazy. I ate 6 big macs in one day and besides the weight of the food I gained/kept nothing. that was when I was younger and it was for a bet - i know that shit isn't what i need for bulking heh.

Thanks for the link and tips. I played around with some shit and was looking at a good 3950 calories a day to get my gains that I want, so looks like I'll start out around 4000 and monitor it weekly to see if i'm gaining muscle, fat, or nothing and adjust accordingly.
