80$ per month. I live on chicken breast and bread, basically. Throw in the odd fruits and vegetables here and there + supplements.

do you live near a city ... if you do, find a good meat market. I buy in mulk at these places and freeze meet and chicken. 10lbs of chicken for 10 bucks (10lbs of chicken at a reg grocery store would cost like 50 bucks) Same with ground beef and steaks.

I just divide up the chicken breasts or meat into freezer bags and then put one in the fridge when i need it ... they thaw in about a day and ready to be eatin.

    I save a shittt load

I spend about $215-$240 a month on food.

However, that is not groceries, that is going out. I still live at home, but there is never any food in my house I would want to eat so I usually go out to eat and that is fucking KILLING my wallet.
I never realized how much I was spending, but I figured everyday I would eat out for a meal ATLEAST once a day. On average it was a grilled chicken sandwich and baked potato, or large chicken salad, etc... all of which runs about $6. Multiply that by 30 days and you have $180. And that does not include the days I eat out twice, or the days I go to a nicer restaurant and drop $15-$20 (which happens about once or twice a week).

Considering I am a college student only making about $600 a month with a $300 car payment the food thing is really hurting me. However, now that I am cutting I am eating out much less since I bought most of my food and it consists of vege's, chicken, tuna, etc... I am aiming to cut my food spending in half
