My buddy got one last week

Feels nice, the new grip texture is just a tad less grippy as the Magpul MIAD grip
other than that, everything feels the same IMO.

yeah i like the RT texture. We got a 17RT in the safe at work. I hope they use the same texture on the interchanable backstrap model

From what I hear, this isn't really the 4th Gen, more like Gen 3.5

I would say 3.5, there's really only cosmetic changes.

How are the scalloped slide serrations? There was nothing wrong with the vertical ones, dunno why they changed that.

At last years shot show I asked glock if they were going to call the new frame the 4th gen. They said no they are calling it the RT (rough texture). Just like when they came out with the SF (short frame). Who knows what they will call the interchangable backstrap model? I guess they think they are microsoft where they can change their naming convention. Would be easier if the interchangable backstrap was called the 4th gen as "interchanagable backstrap" is hard to say or type and "ib" sounds stupid

Is the 4th gen (IB model, I guess) keeping the finger grooves? I've heard conflicting reports.

I didn't feel much of a difference on that aspect. I'm sure yar would have much better insight on this.

It's all guessing at this point. Only thing for sure is that it's got an interchanable backstrap

Well, I overheard the armory/equipment/training sergeant at work talking about trading in our G22Cs for G21SF.
I just hope that the IB and RT models have expanded to include the -21SF by the time that happens.

I did like the feel of the 22RT I tried out, didn't feel as poke-y as you'd expect, just really sticky. I like them.
