focusing on 90g of protein per day

    last couple, i gots 99 problems and a bad right knee and a bad bicep tendon thing are some

    1/21/08 back

    deadlift, all paused/reset each rep

    545x3
    605x3

    barbell rows, semi strict, tryin to be like jeremy d as much as possible

    315x5, 325x5

    chins

    bodyweight 3x6

    low rows - 3x10
    face pulls - 5 sets of 15 with a 20 rep dropset

    side raises

    40x10 50x10

    225 farmers implement side raises each arm for 3 sets of 8 had to swing these a bit but they tore me up good

    shrugs - 315x20 405x10
    rear delts 4x15

    1/23/08 arms, start to work back biceps in to see if my tendon thing still kills me

    hammers - 40x10 50x10 55 3x8, no pain really
    cable curls - 4x12
    preacher machine - 2 plates 3x12

    db rolling ext - 40x10 50x8 60 2x8
    skulls - 95x10 115x10 135x8 115 2x8
    rope ext - 4 sets of 10
    pushdowns - stack 3x15 and 2x20 dropset

    25 min elliptical

    aimed for 91g of protein today but got 86 so i figure it's a win win, efficiency ftw

    but i have been doing farmers side raises with 225 per hand, probably max around 315 per hand.. so does that make me need more protein?

    Not unless you're an elite athlete who can at least do lateral raises with the 70's, BB row 500 and bench press 135.

    the weight wasn't really hard but my straps were not being nice and i had no chalk. i felt like i could;'ve done 5 or 6 full reset reps.

    1/25/08 legs

    awful day tested out knee just too much pain

    squats

    315x5
    405x3
    455x3
    475x1 not heavy just hurt too much, no clue wahts going on.. my knee hurts more now than when i was doing SM which is brutal on your knees especially.

    tried to do step ups and said fuck it, back to ice.

    try the fish oil + aspirin thing? it really works wonders for inflammation

    i take fish oil and i will start doing 800mg of ibuprofen/day with ice for a couple weeks

    the fish oil + aspirin combo is supposed to create some other compound...lemme find the thread

    1. During times of really heavy training when your joints are under higher than normal stresses I recommend that people take 1-2 baby aspirin with their fish oil each day (2-3g EPA/DHA). The combination of aspirin and fish oil causes the production of an extremely potent (and cutting edge) series of anti-inflammatory compounds called resolvins. Resolvins don't stop inflammation per se, but they accelerate the cleaning up of the damage caused by inflammation. This is extremely important because normally NSAIDs like Advil or aspirin (w/o fish oil) actually slow down this resolution phase of inflammation. The aspirin/fish oil combination will help clean up the inflammatory damage in your joints so you can keep lifting those heavy weights.” Of course, you should always check with your doctor before taking any medications.
