FN Wheel guys. Apparently Im in need of help.

    Current stats are: Bench 315 x 2. Squat 345 x 1. DL 445 x 1

    Today I decided I hadnt maxed my Squats out in awhile so I gave it a go.


    Basically I failed at 365 x 1 and then 355 x 1.:hs:




    Im on Pur's routine now. Do I need to be squating Twice a week? I feel like I'm making decent progress with my legs but my stats apparantly disagree.

    Im consistently destroyed after my legs days so Im fairly sure that my intensity is up to par.

    if you are going for strength why are you doing a bodybuilding routine?

    hit up a westside-type routine

    Because plenty of people get buck strong on BB routines?

    You guys are so caught up in "routines" it's kind of ridiculous..

    Im not going for strength necassarily. Its been a year since my last pr attempt with squats so I wanted to evaluate.

    so because his main goal is strength he should do something that has strength as a secondary benefit?

    please explain what you mean about "us guys" getting caught up in routines, I don't even know what that means

    I agree. I just use routines for a baseline. Im not even near intermediate but Ive been around long enough to know when my body is getting worked.


    My legs just suck though.

    yeah sorry it sounded like you were going for strength when i read your post. if you are making progress i would just stay the course and change things when you stagnate. on the other hand, you could probably handle squatting twice a week depending on your volume/intensity

    ps - sounds like your legs dont suck that bad, you mean they aren't big or what?

    Again, I was just evaluating my strength gains. Dont gay up my thread with another NUDES arguement. :rofl:

    I just want advice.

    Learn to read. He said his main goal is not strength.

    if you want to get strong on a "bb routine" then just do some heavier sets and focus more on compound stuff and less on leg extentions.

    "Westside" standard template with a 365 squat isn't a very good idea.

    Im on purs routine with some extra stuff maine gave me hints on. My numbers are pretty good on "a bb routine"

    Just try to do variety. It also helps to work with 3-5 reps.

    hmmm push yourself, stick with it? I don't know what to tell you haha, there isnt a secret. You lift hard, push yourself to limits every week , eat proper, and you will continue to see gains . .

    u could try increasing poundage and decreasing reps for like 10 weeks . Like do 3 sets of 6 reps for three weeks, then 4x5, then 4x3, and try maxing the 10th week. switch up the reps a little on ur assistance work too maybe

    i was thinking the opposite for my boobies to grow larger, since i'm on a kind of 5x5 routine. i might switch boobies to being 8-10 reps.

    Yeah that'd probably work.. 8-12 reps, with drop sets and super sets and crap like that :dunno:
