After seeing Cote vs. McFedries, can you doubt what I said about Cote beating Misaki if they ever fought?

Misaki would do his little flip-kick dance for a few minutes and then get flattened the fuck out, no doubt. Misaki is one dimensional and likely doesn't have the power to put Cote away.

I`m not sure how often he browses this forum anymore now that his dreams of a Pride domination have been squashed, though...

  3. Cote lost to Chris Leben

Misaki ALSO lost to Daniel Acacio and Chris Lytle, too..

  7. MMA math works okay when comparing the same skill set.

    As in:

Mike Swick got dominated, but strongly resisted Yushin Okami's takedown attempts. He'll probably be able to fight off Josh Burkman's wrestling.

Yeah, then sure...the same skillset were Misaki throws a bunch of jabs and then would get flattened out

Misaki is the most inflated Pride figure of them all, far more inflated then any of the guys like Cro Cop or Shogun...for God's sake he got completely dominated by Frank Trigg after he won the GP, which he only got a second chance at after losing because Filho tore his muscle after he beat him

    WEAK

Chris Leben is his only questionable loss

He almost destroyed Doerkson like Herman did but he didn't finish him and then got caught
Lutter is a big MW and his strength (submissions) is Cote's weakness...Misaki is not that good at BJJ
Ortiz outweighed him by 40 lbs if you took away Cote's 205 belly

  10. In a serious Cote vs. Misaki matchup, it's hard to say who wins.

    Both have monster chins.

I feel like Misaki could probably frustrate Cote on the feet, but Cote is much bigger.

Misaki would more likely be fighting at 170 in the UFC, where he could be a real monster.... except that everyone at 170 in the UFC is huge for the division and a monster wrestler.

  11. Misaki's one skill is frustrating standup fighters that are just looking for a big shot, which matches up pretty favorable with Cote. I doubt Cote swings any harder than Henderson.

Misaki has a better than average chin but it does not compare to Cote's...Misaki has been dropped numerous times of the Pride and Yarenoka fights I've seen...and I haven't even seen his Pancrase fights

I doubt Misaki would stay standing after taking a McFedries shot straight to the fucking chin

I went back and tried to replay it but the whole punch happened in a split second...brutal power and Patrick instantly absorbed it

  14. I'm trying to think of when he was dropped other than when Akiyama landed the same punch that sent Kang to the cemetery. 30 fights and not one stoppage with strikes. That's pretty good. Cote's got a definite lead-head though.

Henderson dropped him too in their first fight

then Dan got foolish in the rematch

  16. It's just hard for me to pick a basket-case like Cote over Misaki, who's such a gamer.
