    :big grin: exactly.

I was so stunned about the turn around time because I've seen people go WAY over the 90 day window and here I got it in 5 days

Yeahhh. shall issue state but they have 90 days to do so..but some people were waiting months and months.

With this new system, you go to the dept of agriculture licensing office in your area, take your certificate of completion in a course and the money. 5 days later it was in my hands

I have Missouri's too from when I lived there, but as soon as you move out of state, it becomes invalid.

It's always a good idea legally to publicly disclose that you purchased a training certificate and didn't actually take the class.

  16. He also disclosed that he had taken the class previously, thereby satisfying the requirement legitimately.

Certification Does expire in some states. Keep that in mind. Here you have a year from date of certification or you have to retake the class.

I wasn't talking about anyone here specifically (although it was alluded to...) I've seen it other places too.

I know this is off subject but I'd love to see more stringent requirements for CHP applicants [flamesuiton]

  19. What would you make more stringent?

    Training requirements. Nothing specific really.

Florida accepts hunter's safety certs. Give me a break.

As part of full disclosure, I did do the FL non-resident when I was younger and more stupid. I've sense taken a proper chp course (and several real training classes. Ive seen and know of people who carry and couldn't shoot the vitals of a man sized target at 7 yards Reliably when relaxed, much less under stress.

  21. Just make people shoot an IDPA match or two.

I think An immersion level class should be a requirement, personally.

  23. What exactly do you mean? I'm familiar with the idea of an "immersion" class, but are you talking about shooting on a range, or in dynamic situations? I believe that even a small amount of experience in dynamic situations is more valuable than even significant time on a static range, once the fundamentals are covered.

    Yeah, fo sho.

My third IDPA match this past saturday is the first one where I didn't have an epic fuck up at all!

Aside from that one procedural penalty
