So for the background of the header i have a flash image rotator running (JW image rotator) and i was wonder how i would produce an image that floats over the top of it so i could use a transparent .png for the header logo. kinda like this guy's website http://www.rawair.co.uk/index.html

    Any ideas?

On that particular site, the image isn't "floating" over the flash. The image is actually embedded into the flash and they're positioning the bottom half of the image under the flash element. If you still wanted to accomplish it your way, do exactly what biawokauns told you.

Implement your flash object using swfobject. It handles graceful degrading and should be able to accomplish what you need.

  7. and please don't embed it either. use object. and no tables.
