A&P flipping lense around (dyi macro)

    It looks like it has more DOF than my attempts of that had. did you stop the aperture down? (before I get flamed by sony noobs saying the lens is backwards: yes it can still be done, hold DOF preview, remove lens.)

    well when i took that pic the watch was tilted and about an inch from the lens. i'll try that aperture thing. it works with the standard xt kit lens?

    Apeture grille? pffff

    Very cool little thing to play with when bored. Try on some bugs (fly, spider, etc) = verrrry cool too.

    I'm confused as to how you mount the lens still. :confused:

    i got the body cap for the xt and glued it to the lens cap. this acts as an adapter for the lens so you can attach it backwards.

    either do something homemade like this or buy something already made (one side is an lens mount, the other is a filter screw mount)
