From what I hear, Flickr is pretty cool if you keep adding your stuff to groups and get yourself out there.

I use flickr, but really i only use it for sharing snap shots w/ friends and family. I don't post any of my actual work up there.

You don't have to pay for Flickr. Everytime I have tried, paypal is messed up on their site, so I give up.

I had a Flickr account back before it was bought my Yahoo.. in like 2006?
It wasn't perfect, but I used it and didn't have any problems.
    Then Yahoo bought it.
I don't know what happened exactly, but ever since then, I can no longer log in to my account.
The site says I have to log in using a Yahoo email address, but I don't have one. It won't let me log in using my Flickr username. Whenever someone comments on one of my photos or tags me or whatever, I get an email to my Gmail address, which is what Flickr was registered with, but when I try to recover my password, I get no emails to my Gmail address.
The other password recovery stuff asks for zip codes and stuff, but I've tried them all and none of them work.
So I'm permanently locked out of my Flickr account. I can't remove my photos, and can't create a new account because my Gmail address is already linked to one. Any photo that requires me to log in to Flickr to view, I can't see.
    Flickr sucks.

Yeah. I kinda flirt with this line, too. I only post random road trip and everyday shots on there. I neither post paid magazine work post nor do I post paid model or wedding stuff.

Maybe this is too obvious, but have you tried your old [email protected] as your login?

That's what I have to do now... and I don't have an @yahoo email address with that name... i don't think.

I dump 90 percent of what I shoot on flickr. Keep a lot of it private as another form of archiving and only make public the pictures at events or something where a a bunch of people want to see the pictures, family and friends and stuff

Normally, I would call this user error, but I have heard this before actually and it happened to me. I figured it out though. I was using two different Yahoo accounts and the cookies confused the fuck out of flickr. Once I went back to just one it was all good.
