Can someone tell me the benefits of Flat versus Tube (traditional) screens? I have a Trinitron which is Flat ( I think ) but it's kind of old (maybe 5 years ago) so I dont' know if it's 'true' Flat.

Anyways, I've noticed all the new tvs that are out are usually Flat. Sony Wega, Panasonic, Toshiba, JVC, they all hype FLAT TV is best!!! etc cetera..

wanted to get the views and opinions of regular people like yourselves on this.

your trinitron isn't true flat. there are flat screens, like wegas, and flat panels (not sure of technical name), like the ones you can hang like a picture.

we have 2 wegas, the image is much sharper and the standard features and a/v inputs are better then i've seen on other brands.

curved tvs stretch the image at the corners,, flat screens dont do that and thats why they are sharper, something like that.

their price has dropped significantly too, so i'd say you should do some shopping for one. buy a set of monster cables too.
