I guess i left the expedition parked for a couple days and i got a flat spot (on both tires?). I've driven it atleast 10,000 miles since it happened and the flat spot hasn't gone away, will it ever go away?

can you get a flat spot after just a few days?
I thought that this took longer than that.

Nope, the shitty tires OEM's put on full sized trucks are a joke.

My dad's silverado did the same thing untill he got new tires put on it. It would make a flat spot that wouldnt go away for a few hundred miles just from sitting over night. I'd imagine if the truck were left for a longer period of time and the tires werent properly inflated it could be 10 times worse.

You may also want to get the suspension and steering checked out. The silverado also ended up with a slightly bent A-arm that would cause vibration with speed just like the flat tires did. It was just a subtle vibration accompanied by light knocking.

that's quite odd. I'll leave my vehicle parked for several days at the airport and there is no noticeable flat-spot. My understanding is that any irregularity in shape goes away very quickly as the tire spins and heats up. I thought you had to leave a vehicle for a LONG time to get flat spots.

What kind of tires? I've never had this happen with anything I've owned. And they haven't all had "name brand" rubber either...

this is what I'm thinking. Like I thought it took ~6 months to get flat spots on tires. Even if they are underinflated I have a hard time believing that they would have that happen in such a short amount of time.

The OEM tires are still rated to the trucks/vehicles weight ratings so I don't see the 'cheap rubber' theory holding much water.

bent suspension, ball joint, rebalance the tires? :dunno: I'm probably not the guy to answer this question.

I just see it hard being a flat spot after only a few days. Most likely it's a suspension component.

is your expedition lifted by any chance or has any 'other than stock' suspension components on it?
