Hey guys. After being bashed to all hell in the OT forum, I figured maybe I'd get some help here... So, lately I've been looking into a new computer. I've decided on a Dell desktop, but I'm unsure of which monitor I should get. I'd like to keep the monitor cost somewhere around $500 max. Now, I was set on getting Dell's 17" flatpanel. It costs like $250 or so. The thing is, I've been browsing around here and it seems like there are MUCH better flatpanels than Dell offers factory. So, basically, could you guys educate me on some things I need to look at when choosing a flat screen monitor? I'm pretty unfamiliar with these things since I've had a CRT monitor for every computer I've owned. It seems that Samsung makes some good monitors. I've been looking around on the internet and the Samsung 710T (17") appears to be pretty good from what people have been saying in reviews. What do you guys think? I just have a feeling that Dell's aren't all that good since they cost so much less... Please help me! PS: Where is the best place to buy one of these online? --Dan.
