Wanting to start carrying a flashlight around with me when I start carrying, so far Ive heard good things about Surefire G2/E2...looking for something small enough for pocket carry.

    Thanks

I have a 6PL that I love, but it's a little large for daily carry.

Maybe look into a SureFire E1B.

Fenix lights are cheap, tough and bright. I carry a P3D with me every day in my pocket.

The E2 is smaller than the G2 and it has a pocket clip which is really handy. There is also the defender version and the LED version of the E2 for variety.

    i'd go E2 or A2 aviator.

you want a lock-out tailcap, which the g2 does not have.

personally, I think the A2 aviator is great. You get LEDs for less light, but more battery life (very useful) and a good incandescent bulb for tactical applications.

I have an E2E that like other than the battery life.

I took a handgun training a few weeks back and at the night shoot the instructor had an A2 Aviator and it was pretty neat. They are pricey though... I don't know what your budget is. I don't think I could bring myself to drop $150+ on a flashlight, but I said the same thing about $70 until I got my E2E.

I  my nuwai Q3. Incredible flashlight for a GREAT price. I got mine from amondotech. After just looking, it appears that amondotech has been bought out by batteryjunction... who has the Q3 on sale for $20!!! Link here:

    http://www.batteryjunction.com/tm303x.html

Also, here is a link to the flashlightreview.com review of the Q3:

I've had mine for a couple years, and still going strong. I use those $1 "titanium" brand CR123A batteries you can purchase from batteryjunction, and they work great.

There are just as good if not better flashlights than surefires for cheaper.

Go look around at candlepower and you will find tons of threads on what you are looking for

There are lots of great lights out there. But Surefires work EVERY time and parts are readily available along with a great warrantee. Not saying I only use Sf's, I also like Streamlight and own a ton of lights.

For my "tactical" light I use a Streamlight E2E as I like how Incan passes thru fog and rain better than most LED's.

Not so much fog, but rain..yes. You just have to pick your gear for the area you're in.
