    Ok, so I know I asked this question a while back, but I still haven't been able to fix it. For reference, go to: http://www.fredoniadeltachi.com and when the flash object comes up, it is a white blank at first, then it loads the .swf. Can anyone tell me how to prevent that from happening? The document background is already black, so that's not it. Thanks a lot.

    check your css stylesheet

    and

    oh and what is this doing?

    Get rid of that. Try removing the background colours for both of the ones above

    I don't know why the p was in there, I might have been planning on doing something with it, and I keep the background-color in the body so it's black instead of doing it in the page. Also, the object tag was just experimental to see if maybe that would do something, but nothing. It's been removed. Anything else?

    dually noted. Thanks for your help anyways. I'm actually in my Web Design class right now also, and my teacher seems to be at a loss of why it's doing that.

    You have to do this in your embedding code.

    So, like this:

    Code:
       <OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0" WIDTH="800" HEIGHT="600" id="dhci" ALIGN="">
    <PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="dchi.swf"> <PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high> <PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#000000> <EMBED src="http://www.fredoniadeltachi.com/dchi.swf" quality=high bgcolor=#000000 WIDTH="800" HEIGHT="600" NAME="dhci" ALIGN="" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></EMBED> </OBJECT>
    This will work.

    As you can see here:
