I just bought a flash template, and I was wondering how do you embed html code? (for example Paypal "Buy Now" buttons...)

http://www.w3schools.com/Flash/flash_button.asp if doing it in flash

embed html code? right there in the page, same way you'd embed any other image as a link

paypal's documentation will tell you how to do specifics for their buttons

That tutorial shows you how to embed a flash button on an html page... I want to do the opposite. I have a flash website template from template monster and I want to add a paypal html button.
Does anyone know how to do this?:noes:

Dude, the page isn't done in flash.. It's going to be an html/php, etc page with the flash embedded

insert it like you would ANY other button into the page

are you trying to get the image on top of/in your flash or something?

nobody else replied because there was no need to go into anymore depth in it

    ok, do this...
1- Create a new layer above your template
2- File>Import to stage> select the image of the button you wish to use.
3- With the image selected, hit F8 and select the button box.
4- In the actions window (f9), press the script assist tag on the right.
5- In the actions window hit the + menu > global functions > browser/network > Get url.
6- In the "URL" text box, paste the appropriate paypal link code.
Save/Publish your movie and test the link.
Paypal me $5.00 for my time.

thanks, that is getting closer on getting this problem solved.

    Here are some more details:
-The whole website, menu bar and content are a flash movie, and that flash movie is embed in the html, in the index.html file.

So I am able to copy/paste the paypal code into the index.html file, but this doesn't really integrate the paypal button into the actual website....

Maxxpowers solution would work if I had a really simple paypal button, but I need a drop down menu with different price options, and I also need a blank text input field.

Does anyone know how to create a paypal flash button with a drop down menu and a text input field?

This is the closest button that I could find:
    http://flashden.net/item/donation-paypal-form/11849?page=1
How hard would it be to customize this button?
