I just got my Macbook Pro 2.0 and everytime I visit a site with flash, it says I have to install the plug in. I install it and restart. Then I visit again and it says that I have to install it yet again. I've installed it about 8 times, but it never takes. Has any other Intel/Safari user had this same problem? Did you find a fix?

the macbook pro has a modified version of the flash player that you can get ONLY from your install CD.

i had the same issue....the following worked for me (from the MBP forums)

you have to uninstall any version of flash you currently have
    download Pacifist
    insert your OSX install CD
click Open OS X Install packages.
you'l have a screen full of optional installs.
Use the Find search function in Pacifist
    find Flash Player.plugin.
    Extract it to your desktop
then copy the extracted Flash Player.plugin to the ~/library/internet plug-ins folder

I think it is detecting Safari, and trying to download/install the PPC version.
