These are the states where Tactical Response will be hosted in 2008. We'll actually be adding a few more locations in the next few months as some hosts are still working out details with their ranges.

If you think training has to be in some far off remote place with expensive travel and extra time off work, you are wrong.

Make training a priority in 2008.

While that's too bad, there is EXCELLENT training right around corner. It's always good for more variety tho, assuming they are a "good" place. No offense intended, I've never researched them.

Not to be a dick, but how is the companies website gonna tell me all I need to know? It shows some dude shooting single handed "hommie" style.... I mean reviews from other people I know or respect is what I look for when starting with a new training facility.

So, don't be a dick. People are asking when and where specific classes are being held and how much they cost. All of that information is available on our website.

My panties are fine. But I doubt your sincerity on the issue of respect.

Can you tell me what formal training you have had? The "hommie" style comment makes me wonder.

I cant the pistol when shooting with only my right hand, while my left hand feels more natural in a completely vertical position. Canting the pistol when shooting with a single hand is not uncommon. Shay may be able to give some insight into why this was chosen for the logo. I don't know if it's a "proper" way to shoot with one hand, but it works for me, and I was never taught to do it.

Then you don't know me, I'm not some punk 18 y/o kid trying to start shit. I'm simply looking out for people and training is something i take VERY seriously. It could be the angle, that comment on "hommie style" was half a joke, but it was visible on the site and without explaining/reasoning could be bad and promote improper technique.

    As to my training resume?
I've taken several classes from Jim Jacobe who is a Lethal Force Institute instructor (Ayoob)

Not to mention ~15? courses in basic to advanced defensive handgun, carbine, and shotgun training from Oregon Firearms Academy. Not to mention courses including asst. instructing for hand to hand/knife/hadngun defense integration.
Haven't heard of OFA? Look at Clint's links on the TR webpage. I'm not trying to toot my own horn, just sayin....

We (and many other schools) teach a canted pistol to whatever angle one needs for stable skeletal alignment behind the pistol when firing one handed. Or maybe you're right and it's just "hommie" style shooting....

I have a website that might be able to help you get enough response to come down to Louisiana. I can't say for sure, though.

I understand that, makes sense. Sorry for trying to crack a joke.... So many people so worked up over proper "form" they forget that it doesn't always work for everyone.

Explain this "proper form" for one handed shooting to me. I must not have learned your way and I'm always willing to learn the proper way.
