My friend thinks that he blew one channel in his amp when he hooked two of his buddie's MTX 12" 8000 to his amp. If this is possible, can anyone tell me how to fix it...?

You are going to have to be more specific. What amplifier is it? Did you check all the connections? Do you have a multimeter on hand to test it with?

The amp is a Profile California Series CA 1200 and he did check the connections and they are fine. It works bridged but not in two channel mode.

Bridged mode is using both channels. My guess is that perhaps the signal input for the broken channel is bad. Try swapping the rca cables around and see if the problem goes to the other channel.
