May as well have just purchased an oversized Dell notebook. Apple needs to fix the issue in the slim shelled MacBooks.

Aahahaha, I do the same thing with my MB; however, the heat coming out of my MB isn't really that hot but I use it anyway.

Yea, on the MacBook that I use (while my MBP is in for service) it doesn't get very hot at all. 2.0GHz, white.

There's just not way they're going to "fix" the heat that results from compiling, database operation, or video/graphics rendering. Thats some serious heat. Maybe with Core 2 Duo.

Core 2 Duo is not that much of a decrease in heat with the mobile processors.

I could care less about all that as when I'm doing anything of that sort, I'm sitting at a desk with it. I would like to see this thing at a point that I could rest it on my lap when surfing the web in my running shorts and t shirt. No reason it should run this hot. The fact that it's made out of aluminum doesn't help the heat issue out at all either. May as well have coated the thing in teflon so I could cook dinner while I'm at it.

I got a Cool Pad Traveler by Road Tools at the corporate store. I love it, the laptop sticks to it like it is glued, it puts the keyboard at a more comfortable angle, it swivels, it lets air get under my carriage :big grin:

and you can get it in white at the Apple Store
