which one is better for joint health? i googled and it said fish oil was, but then there was a thread on BB.com testifying to the effectiveness of flaxseed oil for joint health.

i'm taking flaxseed oil tablets right now. should i start taking fish oil tablets as well? would doing this be an "overdose" of (albeit healthy) fats?

    thanks.

Your body only converts something like 15% of the alpha linolenic acid into useable EPA/ DHA. So fishoil>>>>> flax seed oil in terms of the benefits omega 3's which includes jpoint health as an anti inflammatory.
I think the only advantage flax has over fishoil is the presence of lignans.

fish oil...the conversion rate of ALA (found in flax) to DHA and EPA (found in fish oil) is a maximum of 15% efficient (like timber said)...so yeah, go with the fish oil
