How much should I take? The bottle says 50mg but i noticed that some people take more. What are the benefits of taking more? Thanks.

Personally, I take 3g of EPA/DHA cod liver oil all at one time twice a day in the morning and at night before bed.

One 250g salmon fillet contains something like 4g of omega 3, with most of that being EPA/DHA. So, i'm basically trying to replicate that.

fish oil =! cod liver oil

usually fish oil means "fish body oil" and cod liver oil is just what you think, oil from the liver

the difference is that liver oil contains vitamins A & D, and if you take too much of it, it can be bad for you. i believe that liver oil daily intake is supposed to be lower than that of regular fish oil

for fish oil people take enough to get between 3 and 6 grams of omega-3's

for liver oil... it probably says how much vitamin A & D is in each serving, so you know how much is too much

if you take a multivitamin, you're better off with regular fish oil and should get that instead
