I searched around for a bit and could not find any one talking about this.

I just got my 24 hour fitness 2-year pass ($299 from costco!) and last week I worked out 5 days doing weight lifting (various muscle parts each day). I was very sore since I haven't worked out with free weights in so long (2+ years).

Anyways, I went from 186-194 in one week and I've kept the same diet as before working out. Is this mainly because my body is retaining water to repair the sore muscles? I've never been 194 in my life...this is the highest weight I've been. Any body else have experience with this? I have noticed that I don't go to the bathroom as much...

if you kept the same diet (and the same amount per day) if anything you should have burnt more calories and boosted your metabolism. you should weigh less.

my only guess is the extra 8 lbs being some dudes wang in your asshole

there'd have to be many factors to make such a jump. was it the same scale?

even a change in diet shouldn't add that much. Maybe With creatine, water retention, dbol and not enough fiber (thus bloating) - you can add that much mass? but gaining 8lbs in a week is a alot, unless you were massively dehydrated before you started

Your weight on the scale can fluctuate a shitload for all sorts of different reasons. If you haven't noticed a significant difference in body composition, I wouldn't worry about it.

i wouldn't be surprised if you're getting more IM water retention, i know personally i went from looking flat and shitty to looking way more swole after just a week of lifting and i gained 5 pounds.

I looked around to see if increased IM sarcoplasm volume was part of adaptations to weight lifting but i didn't find anything so whatever you're on your own it's exam week
