First time really ever doing squats...this supposed to happen?

    back/shoulder blades kinda hurt when lifting the weight...like a soreness due to the weight pressing down. i know its supposed to be pretty far back on the shoulders and they are supposed to be tightened, both of which i did


    also, my shoulders/upper arms hurt from holding the weight as well...is this normal pain when beginning

    when you grow some traps it wont hurt at all. put your hands inside the rings of the bar and dont put a death grip on it. it will become more natural as you continue to do them. remember to keep a big chest and your back should be tight from that.

    bar doesnt have to be far back on shoulder. try resting the bar on top of your traps
