TAT First time getting a tattoo

    Since this is my first time is it a customary action to tip the artist??

    its always good to tip your artist, especially if you plan on going back to them.

    definately tip!

    I've heard $20 a session. I've only gotten 2 tats tho. One gost $6 and one cost $150 (big dicount) I tipped $4 (cause thats what I was told to by the girl at the desk) and $50 respectively.

    20 dollars a session :hsugh:


    I tip 20-40% if I can. Generally 3-4 hour sessions at ~$150 an hour...But I never pay 600 for a session, usually just charges 3-4; I give him ~60-100.

    20-40 per session. Better the work, more money.

    I have tipped up to as much as 100 dollars. Mainly cause my guy does mine for free or next to nothing. But the ones he didn't do that I got done elsewhere I have tipped well. Depending on how the work was.

    I tipped 40 for a 180 tat
    And 60 for a 360 tat

    up until this point I've always tipped 40-50%.... both times I've gotten a great price for the work being done (especially this last time 6hrs work cost me 300 bucks) so I figured I'd kick up a little extra to the artist.
