well today I got my own assigned m14 to go to a range and shoot. First we zeroed at 300m then 500m then 600m. It was pretty fun learning how to shoot it precisely (only had iron sights, shotgun pattern grouping on 500 and 600 but still hit target). The weapon is pretty heavy but it has a very even recoil that dosn't really make the weapon jump like say the m16/m4 series. We did a stress shoot running to different areas of cover (humvees sandbags and flipped over tables) with a mag change in the heat of it. Made for a good time. Wondering if anyone else has some experience on this dated but reliable weapon.

truth, but then again so does a shotgun or an m16 , especially if its been recently cleaned and youre in whites, even more than the m14...
