i'm at a total loss here... i can do anything i want with a PC but i can't figure out how to install this crazy tar.bz (?) file i downloaded (and extracted)

there is a .sh script file which looks like an install of some sort.... some forum online mentioned something about copying the entire script and pasting into terminal and then running.

what do i do OT? :run:

Oh hell I don't remember much of my Linux class but look for something like
    #yum install <link file here>
    In the command line.

I don't know if this will work in kubuntu though :o

    EDIT: I think Kubuntu is:
    apt-get install <PACKAGE_NAME>

do i run that in the same directory as the tar.bz file or do i still expand, and then go to terminal within that directory or something?

The tar files are zips, basically, do tar -xvzf <filename> to untar them. Then use Google or the README and see wtf you're supposed to do.

Why even mess with it in the first place?

i'm trying to install drivers, from Intel, for my 965 express chipset under the Kubuntu operating system.... the default display drivers it is using are not the best quality and i'm getting a terrible refresh rate!

do no one here use linux?
