Had a D40x for a few months after I decided that I'd wanted to pick up photography as a hobbie. Was planning on shooting mostly skateboarding since I'm a skater myself, but now I usually take the camera with me to most places, and shooting more versatile subjects. I plan on picking up a slave kit since that seems to be quite necessary in shooting skateboarding, but heres what I have so far. Pics were taken with a on camera flash, if any. Just looking for some CC from the almighty OT.

I don't shoot park much like he seems to, and although I do plan on getting a fisheye, its way too much money for me atm. And theres only so much compositional work you can do with that, so I don't mind sticking with long lens for awhile.

I shoot there all the time :coolugh:

You have some pretty good stuff. I actually like the car stuff better than the skateboarding though. I feel like you have to get closer to your subjects

Not the greatest photo, only shot skateboarding once but I just feel like they should dominate the frame more.

I guess that would work in most fisheye or wideangle shots, but usually skateboarding requires more of a showing of the obstacles. Run up, landing and such.

I am missing out on the lulz here.

Heres a few more skating shots, I feel I didn't shot enough since it was in the title.
