Congrats on your first tattoo. You gonna get more? If so, becareful. Its too damn addicting.
haha. i don't think this will be my last, but we'll see. the gf doesnt really like that much ink.
Skull and crossbones..and as a first tat
Seriously tho..looks cool. Cant wait til it starts to fad because, right now, it looks a little too dark. It actually took me a few seconds to realize it was a skull and crossbones, especially near the bottom right, but it could also be because of the picture. I dont like how he did the bones on the right side that dark, as well as parts of the skull. But like i said, it looks really cool and hopefully you will put up some more pics when it has healed and faded, somewhat.
Who was the artist and parlor?
Thats why I need to find a girl who is tattooed and pierced up
Quoted for truth
How can something so painful...feel so damn good?
It was finished less than 3 hours ago, so that's why it's dark.
ARTIST:Joe Brenner, New Breed in Indianapolis,IN
I always keep the bandage on for 24 hours
I would get your girlfriend or someone else to rebandage it. Just do what your shop probably did. Plastic wrap and tape it all around. Its basically an open wound right now and they took so much care to protect it from the air.
For the next 2-4 days, i would sleep on your front.
Then what i do... (either 12 hours after the tat or if you are busy, then the morning). I like to basically wash the tattoo in my sink. Wash my hands and the sink. Fill it with lukewarm water and wash away. Lightly rub soap all over the area. And softly "pour" water around that area to wash it away. Lightly tap a clean towel until it is dry. If you have too, wear a clean undershirt to protect your tattoo. There is a chance you might get blood on it, so be warned. Later that night, do what Almighty said. Get a face cloth or some thick cloth and cover your tattoo and take your shower. And try to avoid soaking the area with water. I usually do this again the next day.
After the 4th day, this is when i start to use some sort of lotion to keep the area moist. About 3-5 times a day, depending on how dry it gets. And just keep doing that for about 2-3 weeks until it is fully healed
cool, thanks man.
um, the artist laughed at me when i asked him if it was supposed to feel good...i was serious. the last 20 minutes was what hurt the most.
And most important...DO NOT SCRATCH THE AREA!!!!
if you have too, soft slap the area for first 3-7 days. After that, it should be safe to rub your towel over the area to "scratch" it.
That was when he was probably re-outlining the area.. which means the open wounds gets stabbed again
Ya, it was when he was fillin in the omega and redoin the words through again.
Thanks for the tips again. and i guess this means im legit in Body Mods finally and it only took 19 years to do it. meh.
thats an awfully large tattoo for your first...I like it but I know lots of people that get something small for the first. Looks good to me though....
cool..itll definatley look a ton better once ur skin isnt irritated and after its healed..ud be suprised how much better a tat looks when its healed. i almost didnt even like mine after i got it and a week later i couldnt stop looking at it. oh btw: i took 2 yrs of latin and Fidus means faith/faithful...
My place says keep bandaged for 1 hour. Remove and clean with soap and water then apply something like neosporin. Apply a THIN coat of that every hour or so for 2-3 days and then switch to a fragrence free lotion.
Seriously, im just waiting to get some money and i'll be getting another.
should never apply a medicated lotion (neosporin or polysporin) on a fresh tattoo. they'll treat the pigment as a foreign body and force it out.
Thats what I heard a lot
Weird, never heard of anything shorter than 6 hours. I find it believable since a fresh tattoo is nothing more than an open wound, and they spend a lot of time taping it close, like a bandaid
You're right. But it says Fides. It also does look a little better already, ill get new pics up in a week or so. I already think it looks better now that the skin isnt irritated and bright red.
My lotion is curel: ultra healing. My dad used the same stuff on his tat, and was fine. Is this stuff still ok?
I keep hearing that.
