Went out today to a ranch area place today to take some wildlife pics and some play with my new lens. So far I'm loving this lens :hsd:

sharp pictures, great hdr rendering, poor subject matter...the last one is the best...too bad the first one didn't have a cooler subject  lens though

Thanks, yeah there isn't a lot of stuff out there, just open boring fields and there wasn't much wildlife.

    Wirelessly posted via wap.offtopic.com (Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.2.13918/2444; U; en) Presto/2.2.0)

I think the subjects are just fine. Good stuff. Needs less hdr but that's a personal opinion.

Great shots. I also think the subjects are just fine. I like the first one best, but the cow is also cool, what lens did you take that with (no EXIF viewer)?

Thank you. Sigma 120-400 on a D300S. Not sure why the EXIF is blocked, weird.

I like to mix it up between Dynamic HDR and Photomatrix. I like using Dynamic HDR when there are clouds/overcast so that it gives a more dramatic feel.

to everyone saying the subject is good...maybe its just me, but i get nothing form the pictures - emotionally speaking - whatsoever. I think, for an hdr shot, its pretty tame..most people overdo the hdr to hell and back.

Just did this one, yes it's a silly cat picture but ya know he's cute. This is at 16mm at f8 and it's cropped. Lens is sharp

Several photos of the same thing at different exposures blended together.
