I snapped 100 pics getting used to the iso, f/stops, exposure, etc.

I have a lot to learn. :hs:

  4. Don't feel bad, I'm in the same boat. Except you got a head start on me, my camera is still in the mail :hs:

And I see you went against the word of OT and got the D50. Oh well, as long as you're happy and I see that you are. :bigthumb:

I had to look at the cost side of things, and I wanted new, not used.

And I'm nuts about this camera. I have a few friends (In real life, too!) that use Nikon, and said that the D50 is an excellent camera.

  11. Yea I'm the same way, I coulda saved acouple hundred and got a used 20d but meh.. My past experiences with buying used stuff hasn't been very good, so I figured I'd save myself the headache.

Well have fun with your Notcannon! :bigthumb: :mamoru:

I like the shot taken at the end of the barrel looking out and the chairs.

Nice pic, could've been better if you panned upward more and had the chairs in the lower portion of the picture. Circular polarizer would've helped give the sky more color.

I just got the camera today -- gonna learn how to use it with the lens it came with before getting filters and other lenses. :) I"m a DSLR newbie.

pretty good ... mind you i think you should use some of the semi automatic modes ... no real need for fully manual and you have your metering on spot ... 3dmatrix works better for most of thoes shots .. maybe a bit of center weighinting

:hs: I was always told not to use auto settings if I want to advance in photography.

But thanks for the criticism. I'm learning AGAIN lol.

    Awesome! Thanks for the tips!

I did read the manual today, tho -- I somehow managed to set my focus point to the left --- couldn't figure out why everything to the left was clear
