Got to use my D70s at Banff today. Since I'm a newb, everything was on the auto setting and nothing has been done in Photoshop because I don't know how!

    Anyway....

Yeah, I'm real bad at that. Got a bunch that are not level. :hs:

I wouldn't call it real bad (see pelf's anglez) I've just been noticing it more since I've been noticing it in my pics... you are at the same level as I am with the pics, most of them pretty level but some of them off a couple degrees... I don't have any grid so I have to use the grid screen or a bubble level on the tripod.

Of course you can just rotate in photoshop but I would prefer not to have to in the first place. It has to lose some quality/detail doing it..

I really need to learn how to shoot in manual because on some of my pics with the bright sun I noticed that the white balance isn't great.

Going through Photoshop right now and using auto levels. Are there any other easy edits I can do to improve my pics?

You can fine tune the white balance +-3 on teh camera. But your best bet would be to shoot in NEF and fine tune it there.

Those are freaking sweet. And I just want to drink that water. I have never seen actual blue water or water that you can see through like that, that is amazing.

Far far better than most people's "first DSLR pictures".

    Nice job.

    Thanks guys.
I was using my Sigma 10-20mm for most of my shots and my Sigma 70-300mm for the wildlife shots. Man, do I need a tripod!

BTW, I did the auto adjusts in Photoshop and popped some high res pics over here: http://community.webshots.com/album/553517480hlhBfG

Wow, you have to tell me how you did that!! I didn't even notice how soft my image was until I saw what you did.

Maybe I can go rework all my other pics with your help.
