Started working out for pretty much the first time in my life 6 months ago. I've been in "good" shape because of good genes and had somewhat large arms for my size naturally.

My good buddy who has trained several people (not professionally, just getting people into working out) helped me work out a routine and stay on schedule since we were lifting buddies. This was the main reason I didn't start working out earlier: not knowing a good routine and not having someone to go with me/help me not be a n00b.

At the beginning (mid-January), I worked up to a 45 on each side the first day and for a couple of weeks after that I couldn't repeat it because I destroyed my chest from not being used to it. I progressed pretty good when I was with him for the following 3 months. After that we switched from school to work (co-op program at school) and I coaxed a fellow schoolmate into working out with me so I could have a spot/motivation to go. He left a few weeks ago to head back to school.

Today I hit 225 on the flat bench. It's what some of you guys warm up with but I'm happy. :hsd:

    Height: 5-5ish :wtc:
Weight: 150ish (and has held steady there, +/- 5 pounds)
    Age: 22

Sorry for the wall of text. :hs:

Cliffs: Started working out for real in mid-January for pretty much the first time. Struggled with 135lbs on flat bench at the start. Hit 225lbs today. Happy with results. :hsd:

everyone is going to ask you what you squat and then ridicule you for not working your legs but grats man, 135
    225 isn't bad for 6 months, especially at 150

I'm not just doing upper body at all. I'm doing a full-body routine right now.

I'm playing with the idea of switching to the routine in the sticky on the F&N page.
